About Kimberly
Kimberly Clipper graduated from Ashland Theological Seminary with a Master of Arts degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2019. Kimberly also completed a Master of Arts degree in Urban Studies from The University of Akron in 1999, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Akron in 1989. Kimberly began her work as a Licensed Professional Counselor upon retiring from the field of Corrections, serving as a prison Warden for 32 years of service. Her clinical experience includes community-based, outpatient, residential, and crisis stabilization services. Kimberly currently specializes in supporting clients struggling with anxiety, depression, and trauma.
Kimberly has experience diagnosing and treating a wide variety of emotional and psychological issues, including personality, anxiety, and mood disorders. More importantly, she understands and respects the unique experience of every individual and excels in connecting with her clients. Sessions frequently incorporate esteem-building, relationship therapy, trauma healing, abuse recovery, phase of life transitions, and support in grief and loss. Kimberly also specializes in Christian, family, and career counseling.
Kimberly has a special concern for first responders and front-line workers. She has learned much firsthand about the human experience through her own vast journey. As a result, she approaches her client base with much grace, experience, empathy, and compassion.
Kimberly is trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with an emphasis on trauma-informed care. She believes that a Person-Centered approach provides the foundation for a strong therapeutic relationship, which is essential for personal transformation. Kimberly understands the amount of courage required to seek help, and is committed to supporting clients in their quest to make positive changes in their lives. She provides an accepting, non-judgmental space for all persons looking to process their emotions and find clarity. Most importantly, Kimberly respects the sacred dignity of each and every individual, and feels honored to assist others on their path to wellness. Kimberly is excited to launch her new agency, Kimberly Clipper Counseling and Therapy Services, LLC. Sessions will be conducted via tele therapy, with opportunities for in-person sessions beginning in 2026.
