Barb is a mom of two young boys and the founder of Joy Jean Media, where she creates children’s books and resources designed to help families raise kind, empathetic kids. With a background as a health reporter, Barb spent years reading research and translating complex information into stories people could understand and apply to their lives. Today, she brings that same approach to parenting—combining research-backed insight with real-life experience to help parents teach kindness in simple, meaningful ways. Through her Kindness Series and family resources, Barb focuses on the small, everyday moments where empathy and connection are built—because she knows firsthand that raising kind humans happens in the middle of the chaos, not outside of it.
