The mission of the Greater Akron Chamber is to drive economic development and prosperity for the people of the Greater Akron Region. As Senior Sales Associate and “Professional Friend Maker” with this wonderful organization, I am truly passionate about helping the many businesses that are located within or that have a client base within the Greater Akron area of Summit, Portage and Medina Counties continue on their path of growth and success. I enjoy meeting with the area’s business professionals to learn more about their needs, share with them how membership in our organization can help them make more money, save more money and build their company’s visibility and personal connectivity throughout the entire 3 county area.
I am on the Membership Committee for the KNOW for the Knowledgeable Network of Women (KNOW), the award-winning women’s personal and professional development program of the Greater Akron Chamber. I’d love the opportunity to learn more about you and your business – please give me call today!

Susan co-founded PROJECT ED BEAR a 501c3 not for profit organization in 1994 along with Ede Bittle. Project Ed Bear is dedicated to providing comfort and needs services to pediatric oncology patients in Northeastern Ohio and at Akron Children’s Hospital. During its 18 years they have brought comfort to hundreds of children suffering from cancer right here in our backyard through many programs. Some of these programs include Live Thru Art, Camp Ed Bear with Akron Children’s Hospital, End of Chemo and Treatment Parties, Teen Group, College Scholarships and of course the stuffed Ed Bear that each child receives upon entering the hospital. In 2010 Project Ed Bear presented Akron Children’s Hospital with a $50,000 check to start an endowment for Camp Ed Bear. Each year we add to the endowment fund.
In 1995 Susan and Ede were invited to the White House in recognition of their philanthropic work.
Susan is the 2006 recipient of The Summit County United Way Woman Philanthropist Of The Year.
In 2008 Susan received the Joyce DeWitt Kinser Award by the Akron Board of Trade Council in recognition of outstanding and distinguished service to the Akron
area and the business community.
Currently Susan is working on The Bloom Society LLC (sowing seeds of friendship and philanthropy) that is scheduled to launch in May of 2012.
Susan also teaches guided journaling twice a year in various locations.
