Joy Zeiler Courtright has 20 years of family law expertise. She practices domestic relations (family law) in the courts of Lake, Cuyahoga, Geauga, Medina, Portage and Lorain County. Formerly of Zashin & Rich Co., L.P.A., where she practiced from 2000-2004, Joy has maintained a solo family law practice in Beachwood, Ohio since 2004. In her practice, Joy handles all issues related to divorce, dissolution, property division, child custody, child and spousal support, modification and enforcement of child and spousal support, domestic violence protection orders and all aspects of post-decree litigation. She also handles name change cases and step-parent adoptions in Probate Court and juvenile custody and support matters in the Juvenile Courts of Cuyahoga and Lake County.
Joy has been formally trained in Divorce Mediation and the Collaborative Process. She currently serves as a Guardian Ad Litem with the Lake County Domestic Relations Court.
Joy has served as the Secretary, Treasurer and Vice-Chair of the Family Law Section of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association. She is also a past Chair of the Family Law Section and has published articles in the Cleveland Bar Journal.

Joy earned an interdisciplinary Bachelor of Special Studies degree (B.S.S.) from Cornell College in 1997, where she majored in Women’s Studies with concentrations in Political Science and Economics. Joy earned her law degree (J.D.) from the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law in 2000, where she graduated cum laude.
Joy raises her two teenage boys in Geauga County Ohio where she enjoys running and exercising outdoors and is a registered volunteer with Geauga County Womensafe; the local domestic violence shelter.
